REBEL WITH INSULKUL WESTERN BOOT - TOBACCO
A square toe western boot built on a saddle vamp, in full-grain leather with a soft mesh lining behind it. The saddle vamp is the detail that dates the shape properly: it is the old construction, and it still looks right.
The shank is tempered steel and the shank area is rolled, which is what makes a boot like this comfortable in a stirrup rather than only on the ground. A Cushion Flex insole sits over an EVA midsole. The sole carries a double row of stitching, and the outsole is a rubber that resists slips, oil and abrasion. The heel is a 1 1/2" rocker.
A rocker heel is worth understanding before you buy: it is shaped so the foot rolls forward through each step instead of stopping flat, which is why these stay wearable through a whole day rather than an hour. The square toe keeps the profile current. Wear it with a straight leg over the shaft, feed the leather when it looks thirsty, and expect the creases across the vamp to arrive within a fortnight and stay for good.
