Designed for the working cowboy who wants a bold boot, the Ranker comes from the Punchy collection and is crafted in durable, hand-finished suede — sueded boar, with a pearl cow lining behind it.

The insole is the J-Flex Comfort System, a covered cushioned insole over a triple density insole board, and it carries a removable J-Lite insert that is breathable and cushioned with memory foam. Flexibility in and out of the stirrups is the point. The toe is a medium square, the heel is a cowboy underslung at 1-9/16", the shank is metallic, and construction is a welt with a single row stitch over a hand-nailed leather outsole.

A hand-nailed leather sole and an underslung heel put this at the traditional end of the shelf, where boots are ridden in and repaired rather than replaced. Suede asks for care and pays it back. Classic-inspired and made to stand out is fair — wear it where being noticed is acceptable.
